Hi all just thought I'd start a thread for all pre-labour signs, the regular things, unusual things, just anything that you noticed before labour started. We've all been there when we're getting impatient and look For any little sign that today is the day! 🙈 I would love to hear it all, the signs, how long it lasted... Throw it at me!

With my first I didn't know what to expect so even though from 4am I had period type pains and pressure I thought I'm probably not in labour until my waters break (and
they never broke! The midwife broke my waters for me as they were 'buldging') ...at 9am I got to the hospital and 9.47am my son was born! Luckily got to the hospital in time I was already 9cm dilated. I really didn't have any other symptoms, and had felt backache and cramps throughout my pregnancy so didn't think too much into it at the time. I was also told by family 1st baby is always late... Well he was born at 37+5 so again I just didn't think I was in labour.

35 weeks pregnant with my first so following!

I was a straight 40 weeks when I felt like I was coming down with something. A slight headache, just off. I remarked to a friend who had 3 children that I could not believe that I was getting sick on top of being 40 weeks. She promised me that I was going into labour and I was.
The next morning my waters broke. Without prior cramps or contractions at all. That was not the way I expected it to happen.
