Induction hasn't worked!

So I came in to hospital to be induced yesterday at lunch time due to reduced movements. They put a pessary in for 30 hours in total and all I got were mild tightenings and cramping. Apparently my cervix is now soft but it's still too long and they can't break my waters yet. 🤦‍♀️

I've been moved to the antental ward for 24 hours for a "break" and they're going to try again tomorrow at 6pm. 🤞

I feel so disheartened and the consultant said they will be discussing a caesarean if this doesn't work tomorrow. Looking for some positive stories. I'm feeling really upset and homesick too! 😭

Thank you all for your support!

Our baby boy was born at 1.05pm via forceps after they broke my waters at 2.30am. I tried with nothing, then with gas and air followed by Pethidine. It was still too painful for me so I had the epidural!

He is adorable and I can't wait to get home. I lost 1.2l of blood so they just want to monitor me a little closer. Baby is absolutely fine! 😊

Congratulations...

My youngest took a few days after being induced too!

Congratulations!

As a side note, I'm never sure why they insist on sticking with induction in these situations. After 4 days I was BEGGING them just to take DD out. They wouldn't. And then.... emergency c section after all. Sigh.
