18 weeks pregnant with twins, and feel MASSIVE. Also still have quite bad morning sickness, so off my food a lot. I fancied beans on toast for lunch today. Now I feel like someone has inserted a bicycle pump up my bottom and inflated me. Help! Will I ever be comfortable again???

Lol, I remember that feeling all too well! You'll need to work out what food are no longer OK to eat - for me it was beans, chickpeas and cruciferous vegetables. If you're not showing much then lie on your tummy on the bed for a bit, I did this till c.26 weeks when it became uncomfortable and it felt like DC was being squished. It really helped with the wind, although poor DH had to sleep in the spare room, the stench at times was unbelievable! Blush

Of course you will be comfortable again! In a out 20 weeks time I would imagine 😂. Do lots of moving about. Go for a brisk walk. Try rolling your hips round in circles, and tubing your hands downwards on your stomach. Good luck op. I had the worst diarrhea the the other day. My legs went numb with the pain. Sorry that was definitely too much information 😂

The other thing that might help is pelvic tilts - go on all fours and tilt your pelvis back and forth.

Zillaindie · 04/07/2020 19:56

Came by to say rock on all fours for a bit.

I still avoid beans now and DTs are 2

crazychemist · 04/07/2020 21:14

@HavelockVetinari alas, lying on my tummy is not an option - definitely showing! Nice big bump Blush

Ah, on all fours! You are all geniuses! I might stay in this position for the rest of the evening.

Yes to rocking backwards and forwards on all 4s.

HavelockVetinari · 04/07/2020 22:05

Ah I've just seen it's twins, apologies for not reading it properly.

I had this, turned out to be appendicitis rumbling. Happened a handful of times throughout the pregnancy, thought my rib cage was going to explode with the pressure but passed after an hour. Then I was 22 weeks and the pain didn't go away, went to hospital and was being prepped for theatre. Thankfully baby fine but defo get checked out.

Pumpertrumper · 04/07/2020 22:43

My username was inspired by my recent pregnancy 😂 sooo I empathise

crazychemist · 04/07/2020 23:15

@espressoontap thanks for the advice. This isn’t a persistent problem, I just really regret the beans! If I have pain that doesn’t go away I’ll of course contact GP

I'm only 7 weeks with one baby but I'm wondering if I'll regret today's beans tomorrow morning... Hope you feel better soon! Pregnancy bloating is not nice!

QuestionableMouse · 04/07/2020 23:22

Peppermint helps my period bloating. Try sucking a mint? (I drink the tea but I've no idea of that's okay when you're pregnant.)

Pieceofpurplesky · 05/07/2020 00:19

I used to fart like a horse if I ate beans when pregnant with DS (now 16). They used to make me jump as so loud! I'm not usually a loud trumper

sel2223 · 05/07/2020 09:17

Try drinking peppermint tea.

There are also some yoga poses specifically for trapped wind/ pregnancy which have helped me in the past
