40+4 weeks pregnant and two failed sweeps! Has anyone had the same and given birth without induction?

Anyone here had two failed sweeps but still gone on to have a natural labour without the need for an induction?

I’m 40+4 today and had my second sweep and week after my first and my midwife said my cervix is still tightly closed and far back! 😞 She also said my bump is very high and hasn’t dropped yet. I cant help but feel a bit let down considering a few weeks ago I was having strong period type pains and thought it wouldn’t be long! I’m still having strong pelvic pain, my muscles hurt, feel like I’m being stabbed in my vagina but it’s making no difference. I’ve know this isn’t proven to work but I’ve tried pineapple, sex, raspberry leaf tea, bouncing on my birth ball, clary sage oil in my bath, nipple stimulation (all given the go ahead by midwife) and still nothing...

Waiting for a call for an induction but I really don’t want to be induced. Has anyone been like this and spontaneously gone into labour before induction??? I’d like to hear some stories. I know babies come out when they’re ready I am just in a lot of pain! 🥺

I was 9 days over & started having regular contractions 4 hours after my 4th sweep!! I was totally fed up had tried absolutely everything & told the midwife who actually said to me well if this one doesn't work nothing will & I felt it a lot more than the 3 previous sweeps 😳 anyhow still took 2 days for baby to appear, she was just ver comfy!! Good luck OP all will be well 😊
