Can any other petite ladies weigh in on how they’re feeling?

I’m 25+4, already getting kicked in the ribs and generally feeling pants again which feels way too early!

I know I’m tired but the prospect of another 3 months of this is pretty daunting x

I forgot to say I’m 5ft1

I’m 5 foot 0 and 36+1. Feel extremely uncomfortable and like I might topple over quite often! It probably looks quite odd on my small stature. She’s pushing down now feeling like she’s almost ready to come out.

ItsSpittingEverybodyIn · 03/07/2020 16:23

I'm 5ft2 and I felt so uncomfortable in all of my pregnancies, so I feel your pain! From 30wks with each I could not get comfy sitting down, standing up, lying down, and my bump stuck out so much, I looked like an exaggerated caricature of a pregnant woman!

RedLemon · 03/07/2020 16:33

I was there some years ago! I actually tied a scarf around my lower ribs one day to try to discourage DD1 from shoving her foot up there yet again. So uncomfortable- I felt like I was constantly trying and failing to draw a deep breath!

Pregnancy yoga helped, as did delivery Grin

This is a week before I had my last!

Sk191 · 03/07/2020 18:16

I'm 5 foot and 30 +5, my centre of gravity is off and my back hurts at times. I think this is the point where its going to get worse for me as I'm starting to have to lie in really weird positions just to relieve pressure when I sleep

bestbrowsintown · 03/07/2020 18:22

5"4 so not particularly short but have a short torso and longer legs.
I was very uncomfortable from quite early on with my son and expect to be this time too.
My ribs were so sore I was in tears most days.

Chl00 · 03/07/2020 18:36

I’m 5’1, 23 weeks and never been fat before so having this big bump is getting very uncomfortable and I feel like baby boy is constantly kicking my ribs and kicks the bed if I lay down, kicks my phone if I lean it on my bump already even though I’ve got an anterior placenta so not usual to feel him so much so early

Indigogirl88 · 03/07/2020 19:56

oh gosh you read my mind

I'm only 26 weeks but 5 foot 1, I used to be bigger but lost quite a bit of weight before getting pregnant and this is a whole different kind of pain so I feel ya! My back kills after just doing a few jobs, my arms have filled with water weight as well so hurt most mornings. I feel like I'm waddling duck and only 26 weeks!

SJChief · 03/07/2020 19:59

@bestbrowsintown - I could have written this! 5'4 with a very very short torso. Currently 22 weeks and for the last week or so have been in agony with rib pain night and day. Was there anything you found that helped?!? I can't bear the thought of this going on for another 18weeks+...

sarahc336 · 03/07/2020 20:02

Another one at 5 foot 1, in my second pregnancy now but only 20 weeks but I know what's to come due to last time Confused. Also this time round I'm so much bigger sooner so no idea how big I'll end up,l at the end, it already hurts to bend over to pick something off the floor and I'm already struggling to put my socks on GrinGrin xx

poilymo · 03/07/2020 20:06

4ft 10, had to stop driving as couldn't reach the peddles after fitting bump in.

Rubyandsaphire · 03/07/2020 20:09

I'm 5'1 and had a 9lb 4oz and then dt with a combined weight of 12lb12.
I understand I ended up with a bad chest at the end of first pregnancy I just couldn't open my lungs fully.

bestbrowsintown · 03/07/2020 20:10

@SJChief unfortunately not much helps. Paracetamol, no underwire on bras and doing plenty of body lengthening stretches (try googling some yoga stretches for this).
I'm 19+3 with my second and im dreading the burning pain I know will come.

bestbrowsintown · 03/07/2020 20:11

Also try to sit down less. Stand and walk for as much of the day as possible

mammagmac · 03/07/2020 20:26

Ladies thank you!! Feeling less weird and alone now haha!
And some very helpful tips @bestbrowsintown

I’m 5ft1. I was huge and very uncomfortable for 2nd and 3rd trimester.

I remember the feeling after having the baby of the joy of being able to lay down on my back.

SammieJane · 03/07/2020 22:29

I feel your pain! I’m 4 ft 11 and 36+5 and very sick of being pregnant now! I’m only ever comfortable on my birthing ball if I could figure out a way to sleep whilst on it I would! Grin

mammagmac · 04/07/2020 10:30

Oh my goodness I cannot WAIT to be able to lie on my back again 😂

OP posts:
sarahc336 · 04/07/2020 12:34

Or actually bend over without feeling your crushing your bump Grin

mammagmac · 04/07/2020 13:13

@sarahc336 that will be so bizarre when I’m able to do that again 😂 I just did my antenatal Pilates and bump is in the way all the time 😅

I'm 5'2 and felt okay. A lot of this I think was because I was working 9 hours a day but was moving and on my feet a lot. I know it's hard if you feel uncomfortable but just try and move as much as possible. My bump was huge but baby was only 7lb 2oz
