...is it normal to lose a lot of discharge after having a number two? My first child was premature, so anything like this makes me worry as needing to go to the loo and losing my plug happened the morning before my waters broke. I haven't lost my plug, but I have lost an unusual amount of discharge (compared to pre pregnancy).

I had loads of discharge when pregnant and had to wear pant liners every day, my discharge was so bad at the end I actually thought my waters had broken when I woke up one morning soaking wet.

I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but if phone your midwife only because of your history

Same happens to me. I don't think it's related to pooing really, more that just when I'm doing a number two I'm obviously sitting on the loo, knickers down and squeezing things down there, so I think it's just that discharge that was building up has a chance to come out.

I also have a lot of discharge. It's hard to get a feel for what's normal but I gather that I had quite it compares to others pre pregnancy too, and of course it's stepped up now. As far as I can tell it's not a bad thing, just means your bits are efficient at flushing things and keeping any pathogens away :)

Thanks all, I think it is just normal. Nothing else strange has happened and I'm feeling well. Must just be an excess. Lovely, haha.
