Hello everyone, sorry for the non specific subject title, newbie, didn't know what to write!
I have my first scan next week, and I'm spiralling a little. I had my first baby in March last year, but this is my 4th pregnancy, as before her I had a missed miscarriage and an early loss.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows the likelihood of another missed miscarriage. Obviously I don't like this scan as that was when the missed miscarriage was detected before and because of covid restrictions my husband can't attend the appointment.
I guess I need some reassuring!

I couldn't write a lot in my post!
I think whats playing on my mind the most is having previously had the missed miscarriage so this looming scan is scary, but I also feel less pregnant? I didn't have many symptoms last time, but this time felt pretty rubbish and now I almost feel normal!
This baby was conceived within 2 weeks after having 'the conversation' about giving my daughter a sibling, it took quite a while to get pregnant with her so we assumed the same would happen again (sorry if tmi) so seems too good to be true!

Hi Mumimi, I am in a very similar boat to you, although my scan is a little further off. I had my first baby last May after a year of trying and a mmc. Fully expected it to take a while to get pregnant again, but what do you know, it happened more or less straight away.
Like you I have no symptoms. Although I am only at 6 weeks. But last time I at least had sore boobs. This time my boobs are still resembling socks (post breastfeeding).
I don't think there is much we can do except hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Worst case scenario is that you have another miscarriage. But really that means that the pregnancy wasn't viable due to a defect, in which case it's actually for the best.
At least you know that you can get pregnant pretty easily, and you probably would again.
I wish I would take my own advice though, it's just so hard not to worry. Hand hold for your scan.

Thank you for replying @gemwhitt
Congratulations!
I know what you mean! Its so hard not to worry though isn't it?
I think I'm extra nervous because my husband can't come with me and I always seems to have the same lady who detected my mmc. Which makes the experience a bit tense!
I'm still breastfeeding, so at the beginning of this pregnancy it was agony, now its fine again. Maybe its just the hormones have levelled out or something, I don't know.
I'm hoping this week goes quickly so I don't overthink it. But no weeks go quickly at the moment!Hmm
