Labour soon? Can the cat sense it lol

Really odd but does anyone reckon my cat knows something I don't lol?

I've had back twinges for the last 2 days now on and off and yesterday I'm pretty sure I got my bloody show as there is some light spotting when I wipe (not enough for a pad or anything) but for about 3 / 4 times there was some light blood. Also starting to get pressure like I really need to go to the toilet but when I go, nothing!

My cat today has been SUPER clingy. He's usually affectionate anyway but today he will not leave me alone. Sitting on the counter whilst I cook dinner, always having to be touching me, getting jealous when my boyfriend comes near me! Anyone else had a cat like this and then gone into labour?

I'm really hoping! 39 +2 and so ready for our baby boy 👶🏼

Definitely sounds like you're ready for labour! I haven't been in labour yet, but as a ftm I can say my cat is very aware of my pregnancy so I imagine they can tell about labour too! He likes to sit on my belly when baby is moving around and purr 😁 good luck!

@Centaurpede eeek I really hope so! I feel like this could be a long process though! Feel like he's teasing me 🙊

First time mum also so just don't know what to look out for haha! How long do you have left?

I think animals definitely sense something but he's been so protective lately almost like he knows the baby is coming before I do! Going to go on a long walk this evening to coax this baby out lol

I still have 18 weeks left so ages for me! I hope yours comes soon, although labour is supposed to come on really slowly for first baby! 👶

@Centaurpede everyone told me it would fly by and I didn't believe them but it really does! So I hope it goes quickly for you! Do you know what you're having?

Yep I heard that too! My due date is Friday which is also my father in laws 60th so everyone is hoping he will be here by then / on his birthday! No pressure haha! Hoping he is here before though 🙊

Sounds like he will be here before Friday with the back twinges and everything 🤞🙂

I hope so, I can't wait😁 I'm having a girl 😊👩‍🦰

@Centaurpede I can only hope! Been for a long walk and now on the ball - anything to get him out! The pressure on my pelvis is too much 😂

Oh cuteeeee, girls clothes and accessories are actually so much nicer than boys! Good luck! 💐

One of my cats also ‘roosts’ on my belly. They’re funny little things cats, I definitely think she has a sense of what is going on, so I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if your cat senses something too.
