A TMI personal question about orgasms and cramping! šŸ™ˆ

Hi ladies,

I’m around 8 weeks and have had a couple of orgasms over the last few weeks... all resulting in slightly painful cramping for a few mins afterwards, which I understand is completely normal... however, I’m a bit worried as my last one caused no cramping whatsoever and has made me concerned about the growth of the little one in there. Is this a sign all is not well as there wasn’t a smidge of cramping.

I'm 12 weeks now and haven't noticed any cramping after at all, and all was fine on yesterday's scan. I doubt it means anything at all x

It could be that your the cramping has stopped because your baby is getting bigger. Your body is changing and you will experience things differently over time. Try to relax, if you are really worried talk to your gp or midwife. Maybe have another orgasm and see how it goes. Congratulations on your pregnancy.

I got that on and off. Sometimes, not always, an orgasm would trigger Braxton Hicks, with unpredictable intensity.

Babies were fine btw.

Thanks ladies! Thank God for the internet and being able to ask these kinds of questions! I have a private scan in a few days so that will hopefully help with my worries too!

Hey! Just wanted to say I had this in very early pregnancy. First trimester pretty much every time. Then it just stopped randomly, I worried a bit as well. But I'm 22 weeks now and he's doing great. Haven't had it again since those initially first few weeks. It's so weird, but don't worry about it. Just another wonder of pregnancy šŸ˜‚

@WTS2020 completely normal, had similar also in first trimester then it went away. I remember being nervous about orgasming and associated uterine tightness that comes with it, but I am now almost 22 weeks pregnant and the baby is absolutely fine. Once you will get a bump, you will start feeling your uterus getting quite solid after an orgasm for a min or two. That weirded me out initially, but all seems good.

Hey OP I’m sure you’re fine.

There are a few of us due in Jan who have been chatting on a board about all the things we’re worried about. Feel free to join.
