Completely irrational and hormones making it worse I’m sure but does it wind anyone else up when people say ‘oh you’re 100% having a ‘...’
I haven’t actually asked anyone’s opinion and I get it can be a fun guessing game but my friend actually went as far to touching my bump all over and started making assumptions claiming she is ‘never wrong’ 🙄

My DM and MIL were both convinced I was having a girl. They went on and on about it. DS is now 4!

Yes it’s ridiculous. Like people on here who have been told one thing by the sonographer and post threads asking for opinions, obviously hoping for the other sex - how the hell would we know better?!

This will out me to my mates Grin

I spent 9 months with bloody EVERYONE eyeing my bump and declaring "oooh dear, that's a boy". Including the midwife Hmm

Things got a bit hairy at the birth, baby snatched away but declared a little boy on the way......

A few seconds later the paediatrician cleared his throat and said "err, not sure who called this as a boy......."

DD is now 20 Grin

I was sure I was having a boy first time. I knew I couldn't possibly "know", and it annoyed me that the feeling was so strong. We didnt find out beforehand but I was so certain it was a boy I almost wanted it to be a girl just to prove myself wrong. He is a boy but I still don't think I have magical ability. It was just a feeling that happened to be on the right side of the 50/50 chance.

Had no certainty at all with DC2.

Yes it pisses me off too, and I don't know why because it's such a silly thing. It's up there with all of the 'I knew you were pregnant, I could tell/had a feeling' when announcing the pregnancy, even when you hadn't seen or spoken to them for months, ahah, why are people such know all's!!

My Nannie was so convinced my 2nd was a girl that when my Dad told her I'd had a boy she suggested I had a DNA test as the midwives must have given me the wrong baby Grin

NeuroMama · 25/06/2020 17:52

We found out the sex but haven't told anyone else, so it's funny watching people pipe in with 'oh I think it's a...' when we know they are wrong 😂
