22 weeks pregnant..obviously warm weather doesnt help but I'm having to change my underwear few times a day they are sometimes soaked through! I've been wearing liners or full on pads to help and femfresh powder. Is anyone else experiencing this?? And what can I do to help this it's making me so self conscious and getting me down 😕

yep, it's awful and the heat definitely isn't helping.
I'm 33 weeks now and have had this on and off throughout pregnancy....I've had a few panics thinking my waters have gone it's been that bad (they haven't)
No tips I'm afraid, just sympathy!

i had awful leaky bladder when pregnant i used tena pads only way to keep clean =/

CoalCraft · 25/06/2020 06:46

Having a similar problem, just so much cm and I also seem sweatier than normal Confused

Am just going to bathroom regularly to wipe, wearing light trousers and changing underwear when necessary. I don't wear a pad unless really needed as obviously it just makes things hotter and sweatier :/

I have had this a couple of times and freaked out each time. The only thing I have found to help is to wear shorts/leggings/tights so there is an extra layer between my bum and any seats. It seems perverse to add a layer in this heat but it does help take the sweat away from the skin and stops that clammy feeling too.

Hi OP

How are you getting on? Any more leaking?

I don’t want to worry you as this is some hot AF weather we are having and I’m also a a sweaty Betty down there right now but I had this exact thing and my waters had actually broken/were breaking at 25 weeks - I’m 37 now and being induced on Saturday!

I am sure it’s nothing but just keep an eye on your losses, as my midwives said to to give them a ring if I was soaking through my underwear/pad

xx

Whatinthename20 · 25/06/2020 09:32

Im the same. I’m having to change my underwear multiple times a day in this heat.

Lovelyday1 · 25/06/2020 09:33

Oh I'm so glad someone has posted about this 😅
I'm having my third but can't remember being like this.
I constantly feel like I've wet myself.
I'm pretty sure at this stage it's just an increase in CM but keep an eye on it later on like PP said could be leaking waters xxx

PoodlesAreMySpiritAnimal · 25/06/2020 09:40

I think it’s to be expected - to a point. I mentioned it to a midwife (said I always feel so damp downstairs) and she said it was normal/a lot of pregnant women report it as an issue. She said if you feel like you have wet yourself, that’s obviously different and to use a maternity pad if that’s the case so if necessary they can test what’s on the pad.
I’m having regular growth scans due to me being 40 and apparently my waters are completely intact. The hot weather has definitely made the situation worse and I’m having to tie something around my waist when I go out. So embarrassing Blush

I actually had to strip off yesterday on the bed and fan my downstairs 😂
I'm 35 weeks and seriously melting.
I tend to try wear a dress of some sort with no underwear to let the air get there it does help.
But yes it's just one of those pregnancy things 🙈 and it's bloody hot!

Jadegkeaney · 25/06/2020 10:00

Thanks everyone..it is soo gross. I was nearly in tears lastnight about it lol. I don't think its waters my underwear can just get damp but not saturated through if you know what I mean. This heat isnt helping. I find having chunky thighs doesnt help either lol. I'm due end of october I'm prayer september will be a cooler month for me! Xx
