HELP: Implant removal & periods

Please bare with me as I am new to this and right now I don’t even know if I am posting correctly lol. I’m confused as to whether or not I may be pregnant. So I had my implant removed a month ago and me and my partner had sex during the time of ovulation (I used ovulation strips to confirm). I am now 9 days late on my period and suffering with heartburn and light cramps. I want to mention that the only other time I got heartburn was in my previous two pregnancies. Okay so the issue is.. all the pregnancy tests are showing negative. I’m starting to wonder if I’m not pregnant and the removal of the implant has just messed up my cycle. I’m really confused and don’t fact a blood test at the docs during this coronavirus situation as I don’t believe it’s medically urgent. Help?? Anyone else miss their first period after implant removal? Or anyone had false negative pt’s?

I hope you get the answer you are hoping for but here’s my experience

I had the implant and had a continuous period for 9 months so after a lot of fighting with doctors I finally had it removed only to then have no periods for 4 months. Everything was a complete mess after having the implant, I was moody, had sore boobs, cramps but no period.

If the tests are still coming back negative at this stage I would assume that having the implant removed has messed with your cycles somewhat but you could leave it another week and retest if you’re not sure

Thank you very much Char. I am assuming that is probably the case. It is just scary as I already have two children so I instantly assumed it was pregnancy related when my period skipped!
