Took ibroprufen last night and got my BFP this morning

Hi everyone,

So this morning I got my BFP, 3 of them just to be sure!!

Last night I was sure AF was on its way and was getting some cramps so I took x1 500mg mefenamic acid tablet which is basically prescribed ibroprufen.

Should I be worried now?!?!

Firstly congratulations!!

A one off dose is unlikely to do any harm. But you can’t go back in time anyway. Just don’t take any more unless told to by a medical professional.

Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it. Most people have drank alcohol etc before getting their BFP!

No, don’t worry about it. Loads of woman do things they shouldn’t before they realise they are pregnant.

I posted on here in an absolute panic in my 1st trimester after accidentally taking one instead of a paracetamol. I eventually got through to a midwife and she reassured me its absolutely fine if it's one or two tablets, it wont do any harm.

I did the same with my first pregnancy! Was getting cramps and popped a couple of tablets as normal....a few days later it dawned on me that I hadn't got my period....BFP! All was fine x
