Hi Everyone,

Firstly I would like to say that I have asked for permission to post my research plea! I am mum to Josh, fourteen months and a student studying for a PhD looking into early childhood feeding.

I am looking for pregnant mums ? both first and second time (or more!) to take part in a study looking at your experiences of pregnancy so far, thoughts about the future and any decisions made about breast or formula feeding.

I know from experience that pregnancy can be a very emotional time and feelings about the future and any decisions made can sometimes be sensitive, but the study is in no way judging anybody?s opinions or experiences and isn?t there to criticize or suggest there is a right or wrong way of feeling. I am doing the research in order to hopefully help inform midwives and health visitors in the future about the experiences mums have during pregnancy so they can help new mums feel as positive as possible make the choices that are right for them and their baby.

The study is completely voluntary and all answers will be kept confidential. It simply involves completing a questionnaire and should take around 20 minutes. Everyone who takes part will be entered into a draw to win High street shopping vouchers -a main prize of £30 and two of £10 each. If you would like to take part please email me at [email protected] and I can provide some more information about the study.

Thank you for your time Amy x

Hi WasWondering,

Yes dont worry all ethically approved! They would kill me if I went near a participant without it!

In the information I send you when you reply to me I explain everything - its all anonymised. THe front sheet is a consent sheet which has your details on it but you can leave this blank if you want. Then you are simply assigned a number so as to not identify you, the consent form taken off and stored separately in a locked cabinet. Once time has passed they get destroyed as confidential waste.

Any publications I have will be forwarded to participants but no one will be identified from it at all. I will also send everyone a summary copy of the findings.

This one is for mums who are pregnant as I have done one in the past with mums who have had their babies.

A xxxx
