Has anyone had an embryo measure weeks behind and turn out OK?

Just wondering if anyone has stories of situations similar to mine, whatever the outcome.

I know I am 8 weeks today.

When I should have been 6+2 I had a scan and there was a small gestational sac and no yolk sac or embryo. They said I was about 4-4 and told me to come back two weeks later.

Yesterday I returned. I should have been 7+6. This time they found a larger sac, a yolk sac and a 4mm embryo with a tiny flicker that they said wasn’t necessarily a heartbeat.

They said I was 6 weeks on the dot and that the progress over two weeks was fine as my dates were clearly wrong.

I had sex once the month we conceived and tested positive 12 days later. By their new dates I would have not been pregnant yet on the day I tested positive. My dates can’t be wrong.

They want me to go back in two weeks but I’m so sure of my dates that I see no hope at all. I also have v few symptoms which is unusual for me and I am an age where 50% of pregnancies miscarry.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? What was your outcome?

@AncientandPregnant so sorry to hear your bad news, having been there all I can say is look after yourself and take as much time out as you need - after my first loss I rushed to get back to 'normality' and it did me no good at all. Wishing you all the best for the future x
