I’m really worried, I’m currently 10DPO & TTC - I’ve had a few very faint positives however I have developed a painful swollen gland behind my ear and a red patch in the white of my eye!

I went to the doctors yesterday and they told me it is nothing to worry about, I explained that I think I’m pregnant & I also explained I have cats and I’m worried I could have got a infection from the cat litter but he didn’t do any test, he just told me to go home and cuddle my husband???

I’m so worried I don’t know what’s to do now Sad

He told you to go home and cuddle your husband?! Well for starters I’d be writing to the practice manager about that comment but then, I don’t take crap care or comments like that from any HCP and nor should anyone else.

I always get Swollen glands behind my ears if I’m about to come down with something - most of the time it’s my only symptom as my body is fighting it off.

I really wouldn’t worry or over think it. It would be very unlikely you have picked up toxoplasmosis. I’ve had cats all my life, always handled cat litter and never had a problem.

Yeah I was a bit taken back by his comment. I do not know why he assumed I'm straight and married or even in a relationship!

Its a bit of a crappy time, my fiancé is currently in another country so I'm just worrying about everything!

Can't wait for him to get home and marry me so I can "cuddle my husband" haha.

Please try not to worry. It’s far easier said than done, I know.

Just be really kind to yourself this weekend.
