this is my first pregnancy and i've had a bump since about 18 weeks. i'm now 27 weeks and 5 days and it hasn't grew at all, maybe the tiniest bit however when i went to my appointment last week my midwife measured my belly with tape and she said everything look okay. however i was just wondering if it's normal for the bump to not grow. my bump is also very tiny. only visible with tight clothes.

It depends how baby is laying. As long as your uterus is the size it should be (which is what they're measuring with the tape down your belly) then all is well presumably. Your little one is probably tucked away quite neatly. Does it mention baby's position in your notes at all?

Can you feel your baby moving ok? If. So try not to worry too much about tummy size. Everyone carries differently.

My tummy measured small at every single midwife appointment from 28 weeks when they started measuring. I didn’t really have a bump until 26 week. Every time I saw the midwife I would have to go for scan to check baby as tummy measured small. Baby was fine every time. Born a healthy 7lb 4 at 40+2. As long as you can feel baby moving I wouldn’t worry too much. If still measuring small at next appointment request a growth scan. Good luck in your pregnancy

Hello, I felt like this up till about 32 weeks and suddenly I have a big bump 😀. This may happen for you too. I kept comparing bumps on google! Don’t do that :) I got myself in a state. Bump will come... but always raise your concerns if you are worried. Xxx

Don't compare to others and only listen to your midwife! If everything is measuring fine and midwife is happy then try not to worry. I'm 34 weeks and constantly being told I'm small which led to me having a mini meltdown at my last appointment a fortnight ago. Everyone carries differently and maybe you've just got good muscles holding it all in 😊
