Stretching pains second pregnancy

My lack of symptoms is making me a bit stressy so I'm sorry if I'm being annoying!

In my first pregnancy I had stretching pains from the start. They felt like someone had put a hook into my uterus and was pulling it at the sides. I know this time everything is a bit stretched but my last pregnancy was 9 years ago. I'm concerned that if it weren't for the test and lack of period I wouldn't know I was pregnant at all!

How far on are you?

I'm 17 weeks with my second, had 2 successful scans and haven't had any stretching pains this time. I assume it's because it all stretched out the first time Grin

Only 6 weeks. Just remember last time being in constant pain and terrified about miscarriage. This time no pain and I'm terrified about miscarriage! Good to know you agree re the stretched out hypothesis though. Thank you for replying 😊

Even with my first I don't think the stretching pains started til around 8 weeks. Congratulations Thanks

Thank you. I'd forgotten what a worry these early weeks are. It's just that this is my only chance to have a second. It's taken 3 years of trying to get here and DP says he feels he's on the cusp of being too old which I understand but basically if this pregnancy isn't viable I'll only have DD and I know I'm lucky to have one, but I really want DP to have the chance to be a dad (he's not DD's dad)! The lack of symptoms this time compared to last has me spooked

First trimester is soooooo long, isn’t it? I’m 15 weeks now, so glad to be past it. With my first I didn’t know I was pregnant till 6 weeks, this time I was watching for it so knew at 12dpo. It feel forever already! I had lots of stretching pains with DD1 from 7-10 weeks, this time I didn’t have any till 11 weeks, even though I’m expecting twins so am pretty massive! I’ll support the “it’s already stretched” theory Smile

Thanks! Any extra support for the theory much appreciated 😊
