Fetal heart rate too quick?

Hi all, hopefully someone has had experience with this. Just had my 12 week NHS scan and baby measured 11+3 (which I was expecting given my long cycles). They said everything was perfect. But I noticed the heart rate was 175.

Most of what I read online says the HR should be 120-160 by this time. Is 175 dangerously high? A couple of websites suggest up to 180 is normal but then also suggest that it could be "fetal tachycardia" which isn't good obviously! Just wondering if I should be worried really. The little chart they gave me showed the HR being way up one end of normal, but not off the scale, but they didn't give me any other information.

Thanks in advance!

This is totally normal at 12 weeks! The heart rate starts out above 160 and slows down as the pregnancy progresses and the parasympathetic nervous system develops.

Its normal, my babies heart beat was about that at that stage in now 18 weeks and heart rates 148-152

My baby was the same at my scan. 25 weeks now and babies heart rate has gone down to 144. Only 2 weeks ago it was 152bpm, so the more they grow the score the heart rate drops.
If they weren't concerned the. You shouldn't be either.
Try not to google everything! Google is the devil!

I didn’t have the heart rate measured at 12 weeks. Well if I did, it wasn’t recorded in my notes anywhere but I had a private 9 week scan and it was 178bpm now I’m 22+6 and went in for monitoring today and HR was 147bpm on my notes but when I was watching it was going up to 155 on the monitor, the midwife said it was normal. It starts off higher and drops gradually as you approach full term as far as I’m aware.

That's normal. It starts off super high and comes down as the baby gets bigger

High heart rate is sometimes connected to whether the baby is a boy or girl.....my daughter regularly had a heart rate pushing 180...
