Charlie or Sam?!

We were sort of decided on Sam for DS2 (due in 3weeks) although neither of us were madly enthusiastic on it, just happy-ish.

We like Charlie too though, but it's a bit popular and we were hoping to avoid a Top 10 name.

I think we're hoping we'll 'know' what he is when we see him now.

Any opinions? Do you know lots of little Sams / Charlies?

We have 1 Charlie in ds's class and a Sam and a Samuel.

Jack,
Ben,
Tom are of a similar style.

DS3 has five Williams in his class. Bet they all wished they'd asked the midwife what the local trend was!

nappyaddict · 24/09/2007 13:58

i know lots of both.

what about zack or max?

mixedmama · 24/09/2007 13:59

We were not 100% decided on DS's name... as we both thought it was ok... but the moment he was born it was his name and i cannot imagine anything else. My advice is keep looking but it may just come to you.

I have a Charlie! He's 2.6 and I haven't come accross another yet!

PregnantGrrrl · 25/09/2007 10:56

i really think he's a Charlie

i can just imagine shouting his name for his tea/ to tidy his room/ to stop chasing the dog etc!

I know a Sam & a Charlie & both are real cuties!

Charlie is my favourite name of the 2!

My friends little boy is called Charlie & he was one past there on Sunday! He's a wee darling! Such a flirt for a little boy!

Dawn2820 · 25/09/2007 11:43

yea sam's and charlie's - both boys and girls. can be used for both sexes. i feel sam is more a boys name really, charlie is lovely for a little girl

mixedmama · 25/09/2007 11:47

Pregnantgrrrlll - i think you just answered your own question - since you can feel Charlie in use, surely it has to be Charlie.

emmared1980 · 25/09/2007 11:49

I like Charlie much more than Sam.

FCH · 25/09/2007 11:51

Don't know any little Sams or Charlies, but my DH is a Charlie and is utterly wonderful - so I think that's a good name!!

LaBoheme · 25/09/2007 11:52

LOVE Charlie
