Hi guys,

I was just wondering if this is normal, I went for a scan last week at 5 weeks and 5 days and we saw a heartbeat but I barely have any symptoms, I feel fine, the only symptom I have is if I poke my boobs they are sensitive and I'm weeing a little bit more than usual - i just wanted to make sure everything's okay

Thanks

Hormones don't really go nuts until 8-9 weeks or so, so if you're going to get hit with symptoms it may start then. I was sick as a dog at 8 weeks, before then nothing.

Some very lucky women don't get any, doesn't mean anything is wrong.

Congratulations!!! 💓

At that point I felt pretty tired (but could just have been the mental fatigue and worry!) and had sore breasts when I woke up. Symptoms for me really kicked in from 7 weeks.

coffeeandjuice · 13/06/2020 15:42

It's normal, I didn't have many symptoms with my second and it freaked me out! I was longing for a bit of sickness or fatigue but I could actually go a day or so forgetting I was pregnant. Sickness doesn't normal start until 9 weeks or so.

Give it time, the sleepless nights will come round Smile

I was bloated from week 5 but felt fine otherwise. Week 7 onwards knocked sideways with sickness and then heartburn. But every pregnancy is different and you might be one of the lucky ones who sails through. I understand the worry though - I used to poke my boobs every morning during the first few weeks to check they were still sensitive.

CostaCosta · 13/06/2020 19:26

I was the same with both pregnancies, both were fine.

peachypetite · 13/06/2020 19:28

You’re so early. Enjoy it while it lasts!

RandomMess · 13/06/2020 19:31

I only got early symptoms with #3, everyone is different!

Ducky1900 · 13/06/2020 22:23

Wait til week 8/9... That's when hormones go crazy.
I've had a terrible few weeks, and only just feeling a bit better from constant nausea now at 10+4... I'm praying it lasts, as feeling sick 24/7 is pretty rough!

Mummiepig · 13/06/2020 22:27

I never had any symptoms apart from getting bigger! Nothing literally
3 full term healthy pregnancies

excitednerves · 14/06/2020 04:08

I’ve had very few symptoms with both of my pregnancies but both have been totally fine. I suppose we are lucky but you worry twice as much instead!

Kelcat9494 · 14/06/2020 11:28

I regret everything I said, I feel really sick today Shock haha haven't been sick yet though so fingers crossed, not looking forward to week 8/9 though

This thread is super comforting. I'm 5+5 and no symptoms at all apart from weeing more. So different to DD when I was sick before the pregnancy test turned pink

Ducky1900 · 14/06/2020 12:51

@Omg35 same as me, I was sick and had food aversion and smell of pizza made me sick about 3 days before a positive test, and that was 4 days before my period was due.
This time it wasn't so bad until 8/9 weeks!

omg35 · 14/06/2020 16:29

@Ducky1900 did you have any symptoms before then? I literally wouldn't know I was pregnant if it weren't for the lack of period. It's making it hard to feel like it's real!

RaN88 · 14/06/2020 17:01

I remember up until 7 weeks telling my husband that my pregnancy was a doddle, so easy.. Then at about 7+5 it hit me. Every symptom going. Faded for a week and come back at about 9 weeks. Then disappeared for a week again. Now I'm 10+3 and guess what, they're back again! Also, my nipples have only ever been slightly sensitive the whole way through, they never really got sore or full. Though my nipples are now like saucers suddenly. Everyone is different. Enjoy it and congratulations!

Ducky1900 · 14/06/2020 17:04

@omg35 I just felt a bit off and tired but not the nausea I had first time round.
It really hit me at 8 weeks though and I'm off work sick now with it.

omg35 · 14/06/2020 17:19

@Ducky1900 thank you for replying. I hope you feel better soon!

Funnily enough in a couple of weeks I have to do a few late shifts with work (normally work office hours) so I bet I'm sick by then 😂
