Sex scan wrong?

Hi all, I am currently 17 weeks pregnant with my first. I had a private scan today and was told the sex is a girl. There seemed to be 2 lines and no boy 'bits' although it did take the sonographer a while as the baby had her legs crossed. I was going to do some online shopping and buy some girly clothes online but after looking it up it seems that a girl can be mistaken for a boy. Has this happened to anyone? I am guessing it is very rare? 😅

If you’re really unsure and willing to pay, you can get a blood test done that tests for female/ male chromosomes, found out about it today x

Oh man, this thread is making me nervous that my baby girl isn't actually a baby girl haha

@petal1234 yeah I find out my gender on Wednesday and worried that I’ll buy clothes for the wrong gender 👀

No one I know has been told incorrectly. You’re now though worrying me for my scan next week- decision on whether I throw away all DDs dresses or wash and iron them all from storage

Found out the gender and there was very obvious what it was, had two scans in two days and both agreed with me so I’m happy to start buying clothes 😅 x
