Early Scan, anyone know what this means?

Hi

I had a miscarriage 3 years ago and finally managed to conceive again after all this time.

Decided to go for an early scan yesterday and measured 7+2 which is a couple days ahead than I thought. Had to have an internal scan as I have an introverted uterus which I knew from my last pregnancy. On the internal scan baby was seen straight away with a nice beating heart.

They said I have a haemorrhage though which she did say is nothing to worry about but I can't help worry. Said I may experience some bleeding at some point or may absorb away. It just seems large compared to baby measurements?

Also said a luteal follicle was seen and I've no idea what that means? Again said nothing to worry about.

I just can't help but worry though after my last pregnancy ending in miscarriage and taking so long to get pregnant again I just feel so worried.
Anyone experienced any of these things?

I have attached a photo of the report. And a scan photo. Any input would be appreciated, thank you Smile

Op all seem perfect.

From the notes and the scan it looks like the sac is nice and regular, fetal pole and heartbeat all clear. And you are 2 days ahead! So growing well..

The follicle is where you egg was released i would imagine the corpus luteum? Or just a normal follicle a little bigger than normal. Do you have a cyst? Or discomfort on the right side?

I would not worry at all though- everything seem really good!

if you are really worried about anything could you call the place who gave you a scan and ask them to confirm all is good from a medical professional?

As said, all looks perfect. The notes say the little bit of blood is next to the sac, so not in it and likely caused by your baby implanting as an egg. Chances are your body will just reabsorb it but if not you might notice a bit of brown spotting, that will be the old blood coming away. It does not put your baby at risk in any way. The follicle, it just means that it was likely that side ovary that released the egg that is now your baby. It’s a very positive scan OP.

I had an early scan at 9 weeks as I was so anxious and had the same thing, the lady who scanned me said I may have some spotting and not to worry as it would be this. However I never had any spotting or bleeding and by the time I went for my nhs 12wk scan it had disappeared
I am 36 weeks now and had no other problems due to that Smile
Hope this helps OP.

Thank you so much for the replies, it's definitely eased my worries. I'm sure I will still find something else to worry myself about haha but no feel much better knowing all seems good and others have had the same Smile x
