Are partners allowed on ward yet after baby is born? (Scotland)

Apologies if this has been asked already. I’m due to give birth to my second baby by c section in 6 weeks time. I’m feeling very anxious about being left alone without my husband afterwards after a pretty negative (horrendous!!) midwifery care experience with my first child. Without going into too much detail, I was made to feel like a burden even though I tried my best to do everything myself and to get up on my feet quickly after my c section. The thought of my husband having to leave so soon after baby is born is making me feel very nervous! What is the situation like at the moment? Are husbands/partners now allowed back on wards? Would be particularly interested to hear from others from Scotland as the rules may be slightly different up here to other parts of the UK.

Thanks Smile

Has anyone had a baby recently at QEUH? Due a week on Tuesday by C section and now getting very nervous that not much has changed in terms of allowing partners onto the ward! It seems to differ from hospital to hospital!

@Kalesandwich that doesn’t bode well, I’ll be giving birth in the RAH as well Envy
