You can take loratadine in pregnancy. www.nhs.uk/common-health-questions/pregnancy/can-i-take-hay-fever-medicine-during-pregnancy/

You can take certain hayfever meds. My GP was happy with mevading beconase nasal spray. Give them a call tomorrow just to double check x

Mummyme87 · 07/06/2020 20:04

You can take antihistamines whilst pregnant and breastfeeding. Loratadine, cetrezine and chlorphenamine are all safe

As others have said most are fine to take but what you might find is some pharmacies will say you need to have a prescription from the gp x

cultkid · 07/06/2020 21:49

Loads of them are fine
I took several anti histamines for hyperemesis
They are prescribed a lot of them

PlugUgly1980 · 07/06/2020 22:32

My GP said they were fine to take. Although the packaging may say otherwise because very few drugs are actually ever tested on pregnant women, so they can't categorically state they are safe, but experience says they are if that makes sense.

NoRoomInBed · 07/06/2020 22:41

Same here I have to take certrazine ones regularly. All docs said it's fine.

Raaaa · 07/06/2020 22:52

Also pregnant and doctor said Loretadine is fine now and again

I just got absolutely scolded by my gp for taking antihistamines whilst I'm pregnant. I mentioned the NHS website and he didn't seem to care. Really jumped down my throat and proceeded to prescribe me steroid nasal spray and eye drops. I'm 12 weeks pregnant, I've done the research and there seems to be no real evidence to show it does harm. I'll stop taking if I can manage without, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it.
