7 weeks pregnant brown snot like discharge

So I am 7 weeks pregnant and everytime I went to the toilet today I've had brown snot like discharge left on the toilet roll, I am just wondering is this normal? I'm freaking out as I have had 4 miscarriages before and I am thinking all sorts. I never experienced this with any of the rest of the previous pregnancies so have no idea or not whether it's normal or not. Have tried ringing the out of hours Gynaecology but there has been no answer. I would really appreciate any thoughts that anyone would have. Thanks

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Brown means its old blood, there is no point in me saying try not to worry, I hope you can manage to speak to someone to put your mind at rest soon.

Generally it's just old blood, some people still get a bit of spotting around this time of pregnancy. There are some people who think they've had a light period and not realised they're pregnant yet. There's certainly no harm in contacting your gp/midwife and asking them to check things out to reassure you x

The first sign I was pregnant with twins was heavy discharge, then snot like brown stuff, then a light period.
Do get it checked OP but try not to worry.

Thank you all very much. I have already had 2 early scans because of my history. Just this really scared me and it didnt help that there has been no answer when I phoned the number I was given for out of hours. Have settled my head a wee bit for now and will ring the eppc (early pregnancy problem clinic) in the morning

@Cannycope - good luck but fingers crossed all is fine. I had the brown CM and it was fine - currently have a healthy 10w old on my knee!
