So I have just found out I am pregnant.
4 weeks.

I started work again last week in a nursery with babies.

Where do I stand with it? Should I be in isolation or am I safe to work?

I don't know what to do.

Congratulations!

I was in a similar spot two weeks ago. I’m a primary school teacher and decided last week to tell my head as I was due to go in on rota, and also schools are preparing to reopen in a few weeks in my area. Best thing I did. Although we would have preferred not to have told anyone until the 12 weeks, with all that’s going on I wanted to cover myself and baby and was worrying myself. My head was fantastic, completely confidential and has reassured me that for both our sakes we will continue to work from home.

Your managers will have received guidance and you’ll feel much better once you let them know and you can both decide on what’s safest in the current climate x

The guidance is if you can work from home you should do so, but if not then you can go into work but your work must do a risk assessment. You should tell your work as soon as possible really so they can do this and keep you safe.

No need to isolate, we are in the vulnerable group (as a precaution) not the shielding group.

@2020N Thank you 😊 I am so happy but quite scared as well. I had a MC in January. We have been trying for 2 years so worried of MC again!

Following this I also don't want to tell anyone.

@Racoonworld I am not able to work from home. At work I am usually on my own with only 3 babies at the moment so I am pretty much social distanced anyway.

So hopefully I will be okay.

Thank you both for responding your information was very useful xx
