Abdominal pains at 15+4

Hi all

I’m currently 15+4 and over the past few days have been getting pains and tenderness in my lower abdomen I would say it’s more uncomfortable than anything else. It’s pretty central and started off as little twinges but is now almost constant, if I move it’s uncomfortable and especially sore if I need the loo but doesn’t hurt when I’m laying on the sofa. It tender if I press A little on the lower abdomen. The midwife mentioned ligament pain but I thought this would come and go. I don’t have anything else going on. Usual pregnancy symptoms still there, sore boobs, heartburn, needing a wee etc and don’t really feel like there is anything wrong but this is worrying me a little. I’ve tried to call the number I was given but no answer so left a message.

What do you all think it could be? Do I need to worry?

Could be ligament pain but I’d say you should get a urine check, sounds like also could be UTI. Would agree it doesn’t sound like anything terribly concerning from your description but it’s been a few days so good to get the basics checked.

I've been having pains from 14 weeks and now 24 weeks. I've got some brilliant ones today! I feel like I'm being stabbed but it's right where babies feet are.
I get some days where they just don't go away no matter what I do.
Your baby is still quite small but growing fast so ligaments are expanding and it can cause you to be in pain a lot.
Have a nice bath or shower, take some paracetamol and just pop your feet up.
Always best to get checked if you are in a lot of pain and/or bleeding. Just keep onto your maternity unit, regardless of whether you have left a message. Best to be safe than sorry.
Hope you feel better soon x
