My husband is due to going back to work soon and will be using public transport and I am in my last trimester anyone else has this? And how do you manage around this?

Hi OP, I am following your thread as we are in a similar situation. I’ve ordered my husband a mask for the train which should arrive in the next few weeks. My husband will be working in an office with a lot of others too which is a worry.

Yeah exactly done the same but just getting a bit worried

I'm nearly 38 weeks and my DP has worked all the way through lockdown.

He does his best to keep away from people at work and washes his hands when he gets home. Other than that we're just getting on with it.

I'm just over 29 weeks and my dh has also been working throughout lockdown and he does the weekly food shop as well. We have just been really on top with hand washing, he showers as soon as he gets in, I'm anti backing everything as much as I can and obviously he tries his best to keep to the 2 metre rule and like the op said we've just had to get on with it.

I’m 33 weeks and hubby has been at work for most of it, he works in a school.
As far as I know the guidance is that it’s fine for him to continue to work. He keeps his distance and washes his hands regularly.

My partner has been working all throughout and having close contact with other colleagues and now customers. My workplace is now reopening and I'm coming into my third trimester and I'm being asked to go back from Mon. I work with the public and have to get a train to work. Very worried but my employer said they're only keeping people in the v.vulnerable/shielded category off not those in the vulnerable category :(

My partner been working throughout also. He's just been taking additional precautions (although I don't trust that he's been doing this very well lol).

Wear a mask, wash hands, don't touch face, keep a safe distance from other people, all clothes in the washing machine on return home.
This is what I've been doing for the last few months working with coronavirus patients and my test last week was negative. The electric bill has gone up a bit but better safe than sorry.

@kedooo I think I am going to have to go to work in two weeks time. I am only 18 weeks so I will be working throughout second and third trimester.

Hi Op,

My partner has worked all the way through. He's a road worker so he is outside but is in the van with other people, shares tools, goes into a busy yard etc. I'm now 32 weeks and he just makes sure he uses sanitiser in the day, washes his hands when he gets in and has a shower. There's not much else we could do as he's self employed.

Try not to worry too much 😊

Superscientist · 06/06/2020 14:32

My partner goes back next week, he has been in twice during lockdown for maintenance. He is carefully to wash his hands during the day and when he gets in. He avoids touching door handles etc between getting in the door and washing his hands. He doesn't have to travel by public transport and will be working in a room on his own so I'm not concerned.

I've worked on hospital wards all the way through the first trimester and I'm still doing clinical duties well into the second and will do so in my third as well if I'm allowed. My husband also works in a supermarket full time , hell continue until he can go on paternity and my dd is going to school under keyworkers provision. We are just vvvv hygiene aware and careful about mixing with public
