Anyone found out gender but not told their husband you know?

Sneaky I know! But... has anyone found out at the 20wk scan and kept the fact that they knew from their husband? We are are having number 2 and cause of Covid will be having the scan alone and I’m so tempted to find out as I have a bit of a gender preference and I think it will help me to find out. My husband wants a surprise like we did with the first.

Also does anyone know if you do find out at your 20 week scan if gender is recorded anywhere in your notes? That would scupper my sneaky plans!

@Jupiter15 I had my 20 week scan two weeks ago. They did. They will obviously only put it on there if you have requested to know gender. If not, then they won’t.

OP is there an equivalent male or female name for the opposite sex to your parent’s? You could possibly still name him or her after them, albeit in a slightly different way?

I had my third one yesterday. It looks completely different to yours!

Thank you for all the replies. Looks like the gender is recorded in certain hospitals but not others so I would have to check with my hospital

My friend did this but it was the mum who didn’t want to know and left the room while the sonographer told the dad. The mum knew as soon as she saw his beaming face 3 seconds later so it was a bit pointless. Easier to lie if you get time to yourself before seeing anyone I suppose.
