6 faint positives but not getting darker

Hello was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I've taken 6 test over a period of a week and they've all come back with faint positives. My pregnancy symptoms such as sore breast, sickness and frequent urination has got worse over the past week However, the lines have not got darker in any way. Has anyone experienced this and still had a positive outcome ?

I've attached some of the faint positives I've gotten over the week.

No as I didn't test until I was a day late on my period and only took the two tests. You could be very early that's why at the moment they are not getting stronger as it's only been a week

kitk · 01/06/2020 20:36

I can't see a line on your pink test and blue tests are notorious for false positives. I suggest waiting til you're late and trying again with a pink dye

cydb · 01/06/2020 20:41

Not to sure if this is better to see the line

When is your period due? I can see a very faint line

sel2223 · 01/06/2020 21:14

Have you missed a period yet?

cydb · 01/06/2020 21:22

I had a miscarriage on the 22nd April, so the midwife suggested my period should return either this week or next. But I do have PCOS so not sure whether or not when it's actually due. Hence the reason for multiple tests within a week or so 🤷‍♀️x

But in regards to the miscarriage my hcg levels dropped to 8 and I took a test a week after and it was completely negative. So can be assured it's nothing to do with my miscarriage x

Personally when this happened to me I had a chemical pregnancy but most recent I had faint lines until a few days after my period and I still seem to be pregnant! Good luck xx

Leala20 · 01/06/2020 23:04

It happened to me. Over one week went from being excited about finally being pregnant to going through most likely chemical. My tests were positive ( apart from digital) but were not getting darker. I had a blood test and hcg was very low for this time so repeating it this week but I have had brownish and reddish spotting. Feeling nauseous, sore breast but so sad I know this is not positive outcome. I am 38 so had been told many experience this either due to egg quality or even unaware as it’s do early on. I hope you’re not in the same situation but would advise a blood test.

cydb · 02/06/2020 07:30

@Leala20 oh no really. So did you get positives on all your test except from the clear blue. I think I'm going to just wait again till the weekend and take a clear blue. Hopefully I'll get a positive result. Hope everything goes well for you. And hopefully you get the outcome you want x

@Kelcat9494 oh so you've had two experiences with two different outcomes. Congratulations x

@kitk I know the line on the pink test was pretty faint but I've taken another pink dye test this morning & this was the result. X

@cydb the one from this morning looks noticeably darker than the previous one which is positive. If you take another one tomorrow morning and it’s darker again then that’s a really good sign

cydb · 02/06/2020 08:05

@MrsBrown91 so do you think it's definitely a lot darker then? I might do that or take a clear blue on the weekend as by then my levels should have doubled if everything is okay. Thank you x

OP posts:
Leala20 · 02/06/2020 08:34

@cydb yes I got all positives actually the first one was very strong and the others faint but have not progressed over one week. If you see progress after 2 days or better they say even 4 that’s a positive sign. Wish you all the best.

cydb · 02/06/2020 08:38

@Leala20 thank you, well hopefully it is positive. Fingers crossed x

@cydb I had to squint to see the first one where as the second was more noticeable.

Do you have another FRER to take tomorrow morning? Can you post a pic of it compared to the older one?

cydb · 02/06/2020 19:29

@MrsBrown91 I have got another one. But because I've had so many faint lines im quite fed up aha. So I thought maybe just take a clear blue test on Saturday morning. Therefore the hcg levels must have doubled some what by then. So if I get a positive it will be good but if I get a negative then I will contact the gp to confirm if a miscarriage or not x

Sorry you're stuck in limbo, it's the worst! I took my first pregnancy test about 2 days before my period was due and it looked very much like your first pink dye one. I can see a positive in all of those photos, but that more recent one is definitely darker. Hoping it's good news for you ❤

cydb · 03/06/2020 08:28

@LittleLlamaMay honesty it's actually the worst! I'm thinking to just get the gp to take bloods so I can just find out. Hate this waiting game 😫 but congratulations lovely! ❤️x

I think your most recent test is definitely darker, try not to panic! I know it's hard but that line is defo promising

cydb · 03/06/2020 11:44

@maria2bela thank you! I just called the gp who said they will refer for me to have bloods! I don't want to keep taking tests as it makes me worry like mad x

@cydb yes you're right! Testing can be very unsettling. Let us know how you get on x
