Sudocrem or Sudocrem Care and Protect? Is there a difference?

Hi there,

Baby isn't here yet but...

I have bought 2 tubs of Sudocrem Antiseptic Healing Cream for Nappy Rash... but I have seen there is another tube called Sudocrem Care and Protect.

Have I bought the right ones?

I have some of each - the Care and Protect one is easier to spread, but doesn't seem to create the "barrier" layer that the original one does, it feels a bit more like a moisturiser. I prefer the original one for preventing/healing nappy rash.

The original one is brilliant for healing anything. We still have a pot in the house and my youngest is 7.

I have a pot at my house, and my youngest is 28 and lives in another country! I'm never without one.

Makes no difference, but you won't need two tubs. You only need a really thin covering (works better, not just been stingy) so the tub lasts for ever. We only use it if there's a rash, but our original 500ml tub has lasted 3 years including a second baby.

I was wondering this too. Both were on the shelf but I got the original one.
