Cramps in early pregnancy

Hi guys! Just wondered about cramping,
I took a test Tuesday as I was getting weird cramps but no period, and found out I was pregnant.
The cramps have been so bad since, no blood though, it's like period cramps on steriods! It hurts so much that it nearly made me sick from the pain the other day. I've heard mild cramping is normal in the first weeks but this doesn't feel mild! Anyone else out there in the same boat? I'm 3-4 weeks x

Morning!
I'm newly expecting number 4 (about 6wks pg) and have had quite significant cramps this time round. The other day I had a bout that made me feel quite unwell, but they passed as quick as they started. I had cramps with all pregnancies, I remember with my first not taking a test until I was 2 weeks late as I was convinced AF was coming because of them!
It is normal, little bean getting snuggly. If you're concerned call the gp/midwife, but as I understand it, unless it's more one sided pain, particularly sharp or doubles you up, or is accompanied by bleeding, then it is an unfortunate 'side affect' that should pass in time.
But like I said, call your gp/midwife if you're worried....they will be able to reassure you or possibly send you for a scan to make sure all is well.
As this is my 4th, I'm a bit more relaxed about it all!
Xx

Heya,

I'm 32+5 weeks pregnant.

When I was 4-5 weeks pregnant I had such severe cramps that I honestly felt it was going to end badly. I had hot sweats, I was throwing up with them and I used to have to get into the Fetal position in the bathroom at work!!

It's everything stretching ready for baby but my god it hurt. And I wish someone told me it could happen as it made me worry so much!!

I found deep heat patches helped me, obviously in this weather the deep freeze maybe more appropriate otherwise you may bake!! Take paracetamol and try and relax. (Hard to do when they floor you!!) 💕

Hi,

Just wanted to add that I also had severe period type cramps between weeks 4 - 7 that were so bad they woke me in the night in a cold sweat and felt like I was going to pass out... they were so bad I almost had dh call an ambulance. I was so worried but I had an early scan which showed nothing was wrong and they passed after about 8 weeks. Can only assume it was stretching etc especially as this is my first baby.

I’m now 16+1 and everything is fine but yes they were seriously painful and my worst pregnancy symptom. Take care, as others have suggested take paracetamol and use a heat pad but it will pass

Thank you everyone! Yeah no blood or anything so I am getting to grips with the fact it's safe! It's 1:47am here and I'm wide awake! Let's hope it passes soon 😫😂
