Positive pregnancy test followed by negative hours later

So I’ve been having symptoms for about a week, I took a cheap pregnancy test this afternoon and it quickly showed two lines( one slightly faded)

I then went to the chemist and bought a clear blue digital test 2 hours later when I took that one it said not pregnant.

Has anyone else had this? I’m so confused and upset I was so convinced that when I saw the positive I was over the moon but now I don’t know what to think.

I am waiting for first morning wee to take another to see. But just looking for anyone else that has had similar situations.

Clear blue digital really aren't very sensitive and take longer to show a positive result, especially after only a 2 hour hold if you're very early in pregnancy. Don't be disheartened if you don't get a positive on a digital for a few days yet 😊

have you missed a period yet?

Tests pick up hcg levels which can get diluted throughout the day, plus digitals seem to be the least sensitive of all the tests.

Get a pink dye test if you can and try with FMU

Clear blue are less sensitive and if you take it later in the day you won't get as accurate a result as your urine is more diluted

Thank you all, I have used FMU this morning on a pink dye test and there’s a very faint line, I haven’t missed a period yet but I am due within the next few days.

I am going to wait a week and retest using another pink dye test.
