I know it been a hard at the moment but I really feel like im being left in the dark.
My midwife never calls when she says when I phone and ask my doctors to get her to contact me nothing.
I'm 17 weeks not had my 16 week appointment she never rang the doctors said she over run. This was nearly two weeks ago.
The community mid wife says to keep trying the doctors.
Feel like im going round and round.
Not met her yet only contact i have had was community midwife who did my booking appointment over the phone and my 12 week scan. She also booked the 20 week
Im just abit concerned as I not had my results from blood test , im hoping they would of contact me if something wrong.
This is my first so i don't really know if I'm expecting too much please tell me if I am x

Hmm. Are there any other midwives you can switch to? What about the community midwife?

The bloods should be OK, if there were a problem they should have called. Then again, they didn't for me. Could you call the doctors directly to get the results?

We only have the one midwife in area at the moment.
The community midwife been great she even phoned my doctors for me.
Im ringing my doctors every day for results they just tell me the midwife will contaxt me.
I have only got 3 weeks till my next scan,

They only usually call you to give you your test results if there's a problem. At my hospital, if you don't get a call everything is okay. The results will be in your file at your next appointment.

To be honest e 16 week appointment is only really to go through your results from bloods and the scan but you'll have been talked through the scan at the scan done Th ey won't have any actual infor to give you. If there was a problem with your bloods they'd have contacted you. You obviously should have had a 16 week appointment but your not missing anything really essential if that makes sense. You could probably complain through PALS if you wanted xx

Hi @xkjl1x, I too am worried about contact with my midwife. I am 11+2 weeks pregnant. Got a letter that I'll have a telephone consultation with my midwife last Fri, but no one called. No one ever picks on the number they provided in the letter. No details around my 12 week scan yet. Its really frustrating.
When did you have your blood tests done?

xkjl1x · 28/05/2020 15:56

Hi
I had my bloods done at my 12 week scan. Can u get the number of ur community midwife at the local hospital they can book you in xx

I kept ringing for my blood (and combined screening) results, eventually got them when I was 18 weeks.

I just had a 24 week appointment, which was only in person because my consultant had said it was important. Still didn't meet my midwife as it was another lady covering. Just a bit of check over really, BP/urine/feel tummy/heartbeat.

Try calling the hospital antenatal clinic for your blood results, there's bound to be someone there.
They forgot to rearrange my booking appointment over the phone so I had to chase it, I m 18 weeks and seems I'm not getting a 16-week phone appointment either but i don't want to chase them for the sake of a phone call, the hospital was able to post my screening results to me so its not so bad.
