Bump tender to touch in some places 28 weeks

Hey!

I was wondering if this was normal or if anyone else had experienced this, I’m 28 weeks and my bump in certain areas feels really tight and sore to touch.

When i press it sometimes it feels really hard in places and it’s tender like almost bruised feeling. After a while the hardness fades away and it no longer feels bruised, it’s so strange!

I was wondering if it is maybe where baby is pressing? My bump is measuring above 97th centile and I’m quite small and slim pre pregnancy so not sure if it’s just growing pains either.

Any help appreciated

I've got this - for me it's his head. He's currently sideways, and quite possibly doing a starfish impression. It's not comfortable! Seems to give me bad heartburn as well, yaaay! Sometimes he straightens up into a breech position and that's much better.

I had this too but it didn’t really come and go , it just stayed , but it definitely hurt worse as the day went on . It hurt so bad I couldn’t even wear over the bump jeans . It was ridiculously tender to touch . I don’t recall it being hard/tigjtythough but it might have been .

It got better around maybe 34 weeks or so .

I spoke to my midwife about it but she didn’t really know .
