Hi All,
I am 5 +5 with first baby and over the moon after so many months of trying.
I am managing my symptoms ok but one is standing out the most:

  • I am just pissed off about something most of the time and feel myself anger quickly (mainly with DH bless him, I don’t shout at him or anything, I just sit there quietly seething haha)
I am normally such a laid back person so don’t know what’s happening! Something maybe worth noting is that I came off sertraline cold turkey when I found out I was pregnant as my GP sent an information leaflet out about it and it scared the shit out of me... so maybe that doesn’t help my mood. But I was never a pissed off and angry individual haha. Anyone else had this? Is it hormones? Will I be pissed off forever?! X

I often feel like this and am putting it down to the combination of lockdown/coronavirus and pregnancy hormones....it's not the best mix!
It's normal. It's also normal to panic and have doubts.

Congratulations! I definitely have less patience and what I'd describe as a "loss of sense of humour"!

Have you spoken to your GP/midwife about coming off your meds?

@SkylinesTurnstiles All through my first trimester I was always very irritable, intolerant, ultra competitive, and ready to burst into tears at first opportunity at the same time. A pleasure to be around in other words... I had to really think/proof read all my work emails to make sure I wasn't coming across like a crazy person. I am 16 weeks now, and mellowed out a bit, feeling more like my balanced self.

Oh I was mega grumpy between 5-8 weeks but it's totally passed again now it's just like a massive dose of pmt don't worry it'll get easier Smile

Apart from anything else at this stage of pregnancy you are absolutely knackered all the time, that'd do it for me! Give yourself a break and an early night Smile
