Today was supposed to be a great day, we've had our anomaly scan booked for 11.30. My rainbow baby.
When I woke up I had a gush of blood come out of me. We rushed to maternity triage and I've been here since.
Baby is ok right now. I've seen him, I've heard his heartbeat, he is fine. But that is for now. I'm still bleeding. Doctors can't rule out that miscarriage will happen. I'm being kept under observation.
I'm absolutely terrified, and cause of covid I'm here alone without my husband.

Soooooooo happy for you @SoonToBeMrs91 this clearly not the best situation to be in, but at least you know what it is and baby and you are all good!

Hello all I’m looking for any help/ advice or if this has happened to anyone before , I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant although it’s a surprise pregnancy was not planned as I already have 4 children youngest is 12 , so not exactly sure 100% of my dates , but I started having a brown discharge last Sunday so around 9 weeks panicked so they sent me for a scan on the Wednesday which showed something that was hard to see clearly but a definite yolk sac so they said it looked more like 5/6 weeks , I’ve to go back for rescan on Friday this week , I have continued with a brown discharge not enough to soak through a pad but enough to stain it , no pain at all , but yesterday I had crampy period type pain then passed a clot , but again no bleeding and now returned to brown discharge but no pain , I’m so confused is this a miscarriage? Waiting until Friday is awful ive convinced myself it must be a miscarriage

@SoonToBeMrs91 I've had bleeding in pregnancy and my baby is now 7 years old! Please hold on to hope!

I had heavy bleeding when I was pregnant with my first at 23 weeks. Literally gushing blood just pouring out, was terrifying. My DH and I drove to the hospital in silence, was awful. The hospital were so kind, checked me over and kept me in for 2 nights until the bleeding stopped. A week later it happened again! But not as bad. I went on bed rest at home for two weeks and under consultant care from then on, but all was fine and it didn't happen again! Healthy baby born on her due date.

I know it's even more worrying at the moment with Covid, but I'm sure the midwifes are being extra careful. Thinking of you Thanks

Thankyou ! I have just never experienced this before with any of my pregnancies and I can’t understand how I can pass a clot but no bleeding apart from light brown discharge , if I’m having a miscarriage I thought I should be bleeding like a period

I'm so glad they seem to have found the cause!
I have an anterior as well so it'll be interesting to see if there's any reason for the bleeding when I next have a scan.
Thankfully its stopped.

I hope you have smooth sailing from here x

SoonToBeMrs91 · 20/05/2020 12:16

Just a quick update, we're still in hospital. Bleeding has almost stopped, it is spotting right now. Last night I managed to sleep without needing strong painkillers.
If everything stays the same I will be going home on bed rest tomorrow morning xx
Thank you guys for support

Sounds all positive @SoonToBeMrs91 get well soon! 🥰🥰

Youvegotafriendinme · 20/05/2020 12:57

I had my first bleed at 22 weeks and then had 3 more major bleeds until 35 weeks. It’s scary, I understand but I now have a healthy 3 1/2 year old DS. I had full previa and was told to expect bleeding. I hope you and baby stay safe Flowers

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 20/05/2020 16:54

Sounds good OP- continue to send you all the best. Flowers

I am 6 weeks 5 days pregnant, I had urine and yeast infection two days ago, they given me pessary to keep in vagina , I did that and since then I started bleeding. Went to Early scan unit on Monday they did scan and told can’t find any internal sign of bleeding but baby is too small to examine properly so give me second scan on Friday.

It’s Wednesday today and bleeding started heavy with small clots but no cramping or pain

Anything to worry
I am feeling little dizzy and extremely disappointed as o conceived after three years whole struggle

peanutandpumkin · 20/05/2020 17:33

Lots of hugs OP, glad bleeding's stopped.

Stay positive, LO is strong 🥰

SoonToBeMrs91 · 20/05/2020 18:23

I'm in pieces. Bleeding seem to have stopped which I took as a good sign. Midwife came to listen to the heartbeat as they do. But theres wasn't a heartbeat on doppler, and they did the scan. And baby passed away.
I thought I'll go home tomorrow and we'll be fine, but we are far from fine... I've lost my baby boy.
