Can anyone give me advice on breech baby

Hi all

I'm 29 weeks. On Tuesday my baby decided to go breech. In the last two days she's really been trying to turn she goes sideways gets stuck and it feels so uncomfortable.
I woke up midnight last night with a sideways baby and my stomach goes absolutely solid.
Any ideas how I can help her or give her more room?
Will she be able to turn? I'm getting all a bit worried about it :(

I'm 27 weeks and baby is usually transverse/breech (my guess based on where I'm getting kicked). I'm not worried at this point as they don't usually start to turn until 32 weeks or so, but generally people say to avoid lying down and some find those inflatable balls helpful, or yoga and pilates. On a similar thread on another forum lots of people were recommending the Spinning Babies website, too, so I'd check that out for tips: spinningbabies.com/.

Both of mine were transverse until about 32 weeks. There is plenty of time for them to get in the right position yet Smile

I'm such a worrier. :(
I went into midwife Wednesday as I wasn't getting my usual kicks as she's been head down the whole second trimester nearly. She's a super kicky baby. She monitored her and felt her and said she's gone breech that's why the kicks aren't the same. So that put my mind at rest.
Now I'm just hoping she turns back like you both said there's plenty of time so fingers crossed 🤞🏻
I'll have to try some of those yoga type moves. Don't really fancy getting to acrobatic tho I feel so big and tender 🙈

I can remember being nervous too, especially when they went from transverse to breech before they flipped into head down.

I'm sure you'll be fine Smile

With yoga, it’s best to start slow and look for alterations. Don’t try anything too complicated if you’re not used to it. It should never feel uncomfortable. There are some beginner yoga videos on YouTube with more of the gentle yoga stretches that can help. Instructors call it ‘making space for your baby’, which I take to mean stretching to allow them room to move around.

My baby was breech up until 36weeks, very possible baby will turn by your due date x

Have a look at spinningbabies.com

Hopefully she does it naturally over the next few weeks. I'll ask midwife at next appointment what she suggests I don't fancy hurting myself 🙈
I'm pretty sure she's still breech. Iv got a real hard lump above belly button and below ribs. Guessing her head. I'm not to good at knowing what's what 😂

My boy was breach but neve turned, look on you tube they have exercises that are meant to help turn the baby if it doesn't work you will get the option of having a ecv which has a 50% chance of working with the covid situation I opted for a section and he came out feet first at 39 weeks I hope she turns for you x

Rubyroost · 18/05/2020 23:14

There's still plenty of time for it to turn. But if it doesn't the worse case scenario is a c section... Really not the end of the world

I had a scan 2 weeks ago at 29 weeks and they noted that he was breech. No one seemed concerned about it. I figure he still has plenty of time to turn around before the big day.

My baby girl was breech from 20 weeks onwards and never budged. I was offered ECV but it just didn't feel right - she'd been so comfy there the whole time I though the ECV might be awful! So had a planned C-section and it was fine, really lovely and very calm.
