Has anyone else had such results and then pregnancy developed fine?

Midwifes are dating me at 5 weeks (from day if last period, but I keep telling them it must have been later Becuase of the dates my partner and I done the business.

Becuase of this they are telling me the HCG level of 49 is low and is likely to be misscarraiged but I am not convinced

Why are you getting bloods done for a 3 week pregnancy? Have you had previous losses? If they estimate 5 weeks that's because they add 2 weeks on to the start, and the end. Either way you're very early on and HCG doubles within 2-3 days.

I had bloods from a 6 week pregnancy (by the book dating) that ranked my HCG level as officially pregnant, but I didn't receive them until a week later and I'd miscarried by then. Too early to scan.

I have been getting pain. And previous surgery so needed to rule out eptopic.

They couldn't find a sac so they done a blood test and it was 49ml and my progesterone was 22

If you're 5 weeks its low, if you're exactly 4 weeks or earlier it's ok.

You can't see a pregnancy by scan until the hcg is around 2000.

As a PP said, when working out how far gone you are, you have to add 2 weeks on at the beginning....so, if you conceived 3 weeks ago, you would expect to be 5 weeks pregnant.
Hope it's good news for you at your follow up.
