Hi, not just yet, got bfp yesterday and I have really really sore legs/shins! But i have read that you can feel a little colder.

Alpacapicnic1 · 15/05/2020 14:10

I have been feeling freezing, particularly in the afternoons for the past week. Currently 5+5, and sat wrapped up in multiple layers in front of a heater, while DH is in shorts and t-shirt. This is definitely an early pregnancy thing for me!

MichelleOR84 · 15/05/2020 14:20

I felt soooo cold my first trimester. I think it’s from feeling tired maybe ? But by third trimester I was boiling , even in winter during a cold snap lol!

crazychemist · 15/05/2020 16:00

My temperature has been up and down all over the place. Had this with my first as well. Hormone levels change rapidly and can mess up many of your normal systems, unless you’re feeling very unwell with it I’d just wrap up warm and snuggle down.

Charlottejade89 · 15/05/2020 17:27

I'm feeling cold as well, I'm 8 weeks now but during my last pregnancy I was boiling, even in december

Trixtah · 15/05/2020 17:56

I'm always freezing in first trimester x

Jupiter15 · 15/05/2020 18:04

Yes, I was like this this time in the 1st trimester. Don’t remember it with my other 2.

newmumtobe66 · 15/05/2020 18:11

Oh good to know it is normal. I was an oven at one point, now I am freezing!

ElectricTonight · 15/05/2020 18:34

Yeah it's very normal x

guineapig1 · 15/05/2020 18:36

Yes! My first pregnancy was virtually symptom free in the first trimester save for freezing cold feet and an aversion to orange food!! I used to wear two pairs of my socks with a pair of DH’s hiking socks on top!

littlejalapeno · 15/05/2020 18:39

It’s been really cold the past week- so could just be that. How are your iron levels?

newmumtobe66 · 15/05/2020 18:52

I am not sure I would need to check as actually I am quite prone to anaemia

I've been having this on this pregnancy, to be honest I thought being pregnant made you more hot and I don't remember it in my first pregnancy but I'm literally cold
All the tonbut I'm 13 weeks now so maybe it can just be one of those symptoms xx

Colouringinbook · 15/05/2020 20:19

Yeah I've been freezing every day for weeks. Don't remember being like this with my first but we were in a heatwave then so think I was too hot instead!

Gingernutlady · 15/05/2020 22:29

8 weeks here. Freezing all day, on fire at night. It's wild

New2020 · 15/05/2020 22:48

I was the same in my first trimester. It would usually hit me in the evenings...along with severe nausea.

My feet would be frozen and needed a hot water bottle to warm up.

When I asked the midwife at my over the phone booking appointment she said it was low blood sugar and to eat more. Though I couldn't stomach a single thing at the time

burdog · 16/05/2020 14:04

Same here. I usually spend the day with a t-shirt and two jumpers on. I have a real aversion to getting cold or the idea of being cold, which is weird.

sunshinefordays · 16/05/2020 15:39

I was freezing in the first trimester, which I didn't realise was a pregnancy thing! Hope you warm up soon Smile

CoalCraft · 16/05/2020 16:22

Another one here feeling chilly, I'm at seven weeks

BabyDust13 · 16/05/2020 17:08

I've been freezing especially in the evening have 2 layers on and wrapped in a fleecy blanket OH is in shorts because apparently the heating is up to high 😂

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 16/05/2020 18:17

I am the same and asked this question about 2 weeks ago! I wasn't like this in my previous pregnancy. Midwives weren't bothered - they suggested I take a pregnancy vitamin as well as folic acid to see if it was iron but they weren't concerned at all. They also thought unlikely to be my thyroid as I have never had any problems before and it was tested as part of routine tests quite recently.

Violetlilac · 17/05/2020 00:44

Ha I was thinking the same!! I'm only 4 weeks 2 days but I've been freezing and shivering!! Having to wrap up loads.
