Baby scan pictures

Hello! Our hospital prints our scan photos on strange flimsy paper and I want to keep them undamaged for as long as possible.

...I've seen other people with scans which are presented in white card frames / mounts / little paper folder things - much better.

I've searched far and wide on the internet and can't find where to buy some for myself. The scan photos are only 10x7cm or 4x2.75" each, so most photo holders / card wallets are far too big.

Has anyone found a solution?

I can’t help with the photo holders, but could you just scan the photo and print it in a more suitable size? Plus (though this does depend on the paper used) scan photos can fade over time, a bit like receipts do, so making copies is a good idea anyway if you want to keep them long term.

I just stuck mine onto a bit of thin card to make it more durable.

It's called thermal imaging paper. It's the only paper that goes into an ultrasound machine, it's not strange, it's the only option.
If you pay for your pictures the hospital should provide the card slip mount to put it in. They usually have trust branded wallets.
If not you can buy mount card on eBay/amazon and make your own. Don't stick glue to the image part of the picture as it can deteriorate quicker. The images do naturally deteriorate overtime anyway, just like photographs do.

Just don't laminate then or you'll ruin them completely

Take a photo on your phone and then print them on photo paper, whatever size you want.
