Booking in appointment with midwife scotland?

Anyone just found out their pregnant? Called dr today she said she’d let the midwife service know. When am I likely to hear from them with everything going on?

What area are you in? In my area you link in with the midwife service directly either by phone or email, fill out a form and then they give you a date for booking appointment.

I’m with Forth Valley and had my booking appointment at 10 weeks. xx

I’m in Lothian and had booking apptat 9 weeks. Scans booked as normal and have been told all appts are running as normal eg they are not cutting any out as yet. Midwives in full PPE at appts. Booking mostly done by phone then in for bloods, height weight etc. Good luck!

I am in NHS Lothian, I rang the central booking number which gives you your booking appointment with your local midwife and also gives you your 12 week scan at local hospital. They give these to you verbally and then also send letters out in the post.

Im in Dumfries, tried googling it but havent found anything. I might phone the surgery again tomoro and ask! Thanks for your help! Its so crazy, like once you get the positive test its another waiting game 🙈

Hi I’m wondering if anyone could help I took a clear blue test in the 26 March and said I was 1-2 week pregnant then one on the 27 March say I was 2-3 could anyone help me on how this works

@ttcchapter1 I've had a Google too and can't find anything! Maybe have a look on the Dumfries and Galloway nhs inform page. All I have to do with my area is Google booking appointment, forth valley and it comes up.

Hi, I called the health clinic at 6 weeks to let them know. I got a call back at 10 weeks with a booking appointment over the phone, and then received letter for scan a couple of days later, which is on Monday. I also had a call from midwife this week to ask if I could visit clinic tomorrow for bloods to be taken and bp to be checked. Sadly not able to be with husband at scan, but it could be different in your area. Hope this helps x

@Chan098 count from your last period and that will give you a rough idea of how many weeks you are, there are also calculators online for working it out

@dochas06 I’m not to sure when my last period was that why I’m trying to work out from the clear blue dates

I live in Fife and had my booking appointment at 11 weeks and my scan at 12 weeks. I got sent a letter in the post and it took a couple of weeks, they sent it 2nd class franked so via the snail mail!

The receptionist at my GP gave me the number to call so I rang them and made the booking in appointment with my midwife and the 12 week scan.

The number I called was ‭0131 536 2009‬, for NHS Lothian.
