Struggling with a chemical pregnancy

Last Friday (8th) I got my first BFP and a positive digital. I did a digital Friday Saturday and Sunday and all came back positive 1-2. I stopped testing then yesturday I started bleeding, and it's still there now. Spoke to EPU who have said there can be a number of reasons I could be bleeding not necessarily a miscarriage and there's no way to tell but I feel convinced in myself that I'm having an early misscarriage. Done a test which is a lot lighter than it was last week. Do I go buy a digital? Is there even any point? I feel like I'm still holding onto some hope but deep down I know Iv lost my baby and I'm finding it really hard x

Sorry you're going through this OP.
The EPU is right in that it's not necessarily a miscarriage but it is too early to say at the moment.
The only thing that will tell you is time.
Testing will eventually tell you but for now, you'll still have hcg in your system so it would still show as a BFP either way.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Sending all the hugs and strength OP I had a chemical back in August and was gutted, I did have a blood test at the doctors to confirm it was gone a week later but that was before lockdown, the silver lining was that I caught on again immediately and am now 38+5.

I really hope it isn't a chemical though for you. X

Not long to go now ☺️ Yeah due to lockdown they can't do bloods and I'm too early for a scan plus they wouldn't really want to bring me in if they can help it which I completely understand it's just hard. Iv stopped bleeding now so it lasted half as long as my normal period would so it's confusing but I feel like I just know iv miss-carried but really hoping I haven't. Going to test Sunday / Monday but I feel like I know the outcome 😟 really hope I get pregnant again quick xx

So sorry your in this limbo. I know how u feel. I mc 3 weeks ago and was so alone and didn’t know if I was actually miscarrying at all as no one could see me due to covid. So it was just a waiting game for me. Horrible. I hope yours is a better outcome but just want to drop in and offer mental support xx

I’m feeling a lot better now but I still have my down days. I started to feel better once I got out of that limbo and my pregnancy test went back to neg as I knew 100% what has happened then. I’m back in my tww now again. Hang in there, this feeling isn’t forever, be kind to yourself x

Took a digital test this morning, now says not pregnant so Iv officially miscarried 😔 bit of a kick in teeth but l least I know for certain now. Onto the next cycle!

Oh sorry to hear :( but at least you know now and you are out of that limbo... i felt a tiny bit better when I finally got out of limbo and was able to then start processing my loss. Be kind to urself and take time to grieve. I started trying straight away again as I heard you can be more fertile after an mc.. I’m now in my tww again. Sending you virtual love xx

It was hard taking the test as I just knew what was to come but really hoping it wasn't. I feel ok as gutted as I am I'm dealing with it better than I thought. I really hope I get caught on in the next coming months as I feel it will really take its toll on me if not. Always asking myself why! Iv heard about being more fertile too but wasn't sure how true, really hope It's the case for us. How many dpo are you? Please keep me updated. Here if you ever need a chat xx

@meggie1412 Sorry to hear about your loss. I've just had the exact same thing and it's not pleasant.

Apparently there's no affect on ability to conceive in the future so no issues getting going straight away again which is what I'm planning on doing.

I’m 6/7dpo, 3 weeks from mc on Tuesday so I ovulated just under 2 weeks

Things not really going smoothly for me. I'm still getting positive pregnancy tests (faint so definitely not pregnant). Also still bleeding and getting pain in my ovary. EPU want me to test again tomorrow and if still positive they want me in for a blood test to rule out ectopic.

My theory is that i have corpus luteum cysts as my research has shown these will provide false positive tests. I may still have been early pregnant but that's caused the cysts which aren't going away yet.

So don't think I'll be ovulating for at least another week really :-(

I hope you don’t mind if I join this thread- I think I am currently having a chemical pregnancy but I’m not really sure and don’t quite know what to do. I was three days late for my period and got my bfp 6 days ago. Yesterday I started bleeding and today I’m still bleeding- I have stomach cramps and it is like my period is here with the type of blood it is. My drs is closed, do I just wait until they are open and speak to them for advice, do I get more tests and see if they come up negative? If this is my period do I count yesterday as the first day of my period? Sorry for all the questions I’m just not sure what to do.

@ApplePie86 aw I'm so sorry your going through all that! I really hope you get the answers you need soon 😔 I should due to ovulate in next 2-3 days so we've started BD already but I'm worried with having the chemical it will be delivered but really hoping it isn't 🤞🏻 here if you ever need a chat x

@2020wish oh no way 😔 it's the worst feeling ever. Was it the same test you tried? I'd defo try a different make too, maybe a first response if you can get hold of one? Keep me updated got everything crossed for you!

@Muda hey Hun, hope you're doing as well as you can be. I got my BFP before my period was due then I started bleeding 3 days after my period would've been due, i rang my local Early pregnancy unit so maybe try give them a call if you can find their number? My bleeding lasted 2/3 days, i then tested once the bleeding had stopped and it came back negative so I'd probably suggest get some tests in. Epu told me that there's number of reasons you can bleed and it doesn't always mean misscarriage, so I hope all goes well for you. I counted the first day I started bleeding as cycle day 1 Xx

@meggie1412 thank you for your reply and sorry that you have had a similar thing happening as well as the other ladies on this thread. I think I will wait until the bleeding has stopped As it really feels like a period and take another test to see what it Says.
Would be great to hear how you get on, keep us up to date x
