Dating scan showed 10 weeks and 3 days. I thought I was 12 weeks!

It's no surprise! I have PCOS and irregular periods but it just means a longer wait until we can start telling people. Baby had a heart beat and I saw it's little arms and legs soooo cute. I instantly fell in love. I've attached the scan picture. Quality not great but my bubba is sooo cute. It makes it all feel real now!

Firstly, Congratulations! Best feeling ever isn’t it 🥰
Secondly, don’t feel you have to wait until 12 weeks before telling people if you would rather shout it from the rooftops now.
Once you’ve seen a heartbeat, especially at 10.5 weeks, the chance of anything going wrong goes down to about 5%, so only a fraction higher than if you were 12 weeks.
Our baby was IVF; we started telling people around 10 weeks (we saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks and had two more scans after that before we then told people). By the 12 week scan, everyone already knew!
That’s what worked for us, but obvs it’s totally up to you. Best of luck xx

Pretty much what happened to me! I was scanned and told I was only 10w exactly, I don't have a formal diagnosis of PCOS but very long and irregular cycles so it was no surprise! Went back 11 days later and baby was measuring 12w1d. I told a few close friends after my 10 week scan because I was so excited! Congratulations x

@Pineapplebaby thank you that reassures me a lot as me and my husband have been excited to tell people for weeks! I think we might start telling everyone xx

Congratulations! Same thing happened with me, so they booked me in 2 weeks later, and that time I was measured 13. So i don’t think there’s anything to worry about! The difference in scan pic between 10 and 12 is amazing, the baby grows so much
