Looking for a hand hold here!

I've been terrified all the way through that something would go wrong but today is our dating scan and weve planned on breaking the news today, although now I'm heart broken as since last night (after BM) theres been blood in my discharge, should I just accept baby has gone? Barely slept and just cant stop getting upset

Hand hold.

So sorry you’re going through this. I’ve seen so many stories on here of woman who bleed in early pregnancy and go on to have healthy babies. Keeping everything crossed for you. X

@Rara88Cas not necessarily.

FWIW, with my last pregnancy (which followed 2MC’s) I managed to get to 12 weeks without having a scan. I was delighted I was past the 12 week mark, my scan was the following week. Only to experience a small bleed the day after I turned 12 weeks. I was certain it was happening again as I was experiencing back and stomach cramps as well. I was shaking and crying when I went into the scanning room but all was fine. She’s currently sat on the living room floor eating crumpets!

If it's just a small bleed I'd worry less. Lots of women have bleeds in early pregnancy. Fingers crossed obviously for today.

I bled through my entire pregnancy due to an ectropian. Sometimes it was fairly heavy. Never any danger to the baby though just stressful and frustrating.

I'm 29 weeks and had spotting after a BM movement a couple of times.
I was told it's something to do with the cervix.

If you're not bleeding heavily and/or cramping, chances are everything is ok.

Good luck with your scan, I was terrified at both of mine, remember the odds are heavily on your side x

Just for some reassurance, though i know it's not always a good idea from my previous experience. But with this pregnancy I had a huge bleed with massive gold ball sized clots at 7 weeks. We of course assumed we'd lost the baby and started the grieving process yet again (this would have been our 5th MC) However a scan several days later showed a lovely little heartbeat! I have since had two more very big bleeds with clots. A subchorionic haematoma was found and baby is absolutely fine at 11+3. I realise this is a rare scenario but it might just give you some hope to cling to.
Like others have said, if you're not in any pain (I wasn't), it is likely to be good news.

Please let us know how you scan goes today x

I started bleeding at 21 weeks, my heart dropped, it wasn't loads but enough to see on toilet paper when i wiped, the midwife came out to check baby and all was fine, it stopped after 2 days but still makes me paranoid now and I'm 24 weeks now, I constantly check the toilet paper, but she did say it could have been from having sex 2 days earlier but all OK now, try not to worry from what I've heard alot of people bleed throughout pregnancy without any problems

Hi OP. I bled on and off for the first 14 weeks of 2 of my pregnancies. Sometimes it was just a pale pink looking discharge, other times it was bright red blood. Both pregnancies were fine and without complication.
Fingers crossed all will be fine for you 💐
