12 weeks - No symptoms! Reassurance?

I am 12 weeks pregnant today and for the last 2 weeks, my symptoms have been lessening up until a few days ago when they disappeared completely. Aside from my huge knockers and bloated belly, I don't "feel" pregnant anymore. Well, I just don't have those reassuring but pesky symptoms anymore.

I know the placenta takes over around this time, so I'm hopeful that's all that's happening.

My first ever scan is on Wednesday and I am becoming increasingly more anxious at the thought of an MMC. Before Mumsnet, I had never even heard of one before! They sound incredibly distressing, and I wondered how common they really are? Online says they're rare, but you see so many women on here that have experienced one, and it makes for very worrying reading. I haven't had any pain or bleeding - but I'm barely sleeping with the stress.

Any reassurance would be greatly appreciated. Anyone else in my boat?

My symptoms reduced a lot from 11 weeks and I think that's pretty normal from what I've read.
Good luck for your scan on Wednesday. Scan anxiety is awful, I get it before every scan and convince myself I've had a MMC or they're gonna find something wrong (I'm 26+4 now and absolutely fine).

Oh this was me. I was even prepared to hear no baby at my scan. But there he was. I had no symptoms in my first trimester

Also, in terms of how common MMC is, Google is right, it's very rare.
It just seems more common on here as forums such as this one attract people having issues, worries, problems etc....not many women come on and post after a normal scan or an uneventful pregnancy so it can seem very disproportionate.

Thank you @sel2223 and @Nix2020. That is reassuring to hear. Fingers crossed all is well! I will pop a message on here either way Wednesday. It'll either be the best day of my life, or the worst! Hoping for the former.

Seems you ladies were right @sel2223 @Nix2020. I had my scan today as planned and baby is happy and healthy.

It was such a lovely moment to see baby wriggling around! Thanks again for your reassurance when I needed it.

Hi, in a similar situation. Im 8 and a half weeks and my symptoms have been lessening the past few days so i am quite worried. We had an early scan at 7 weeks and everything was fine, they found the heartbeat. Not sure if im worrying over nothing or its something else :(

Great news.
