I am a carer as well and found out I was pregnant last week. I am still going to work, however I work with children/young people so there is less of a risk, what age group are you working with? I would advise you tell your manager immediately, they will need to complete a risk assessment right away. After I found out, the day I was back in work, it was the first thing they did with me, and I was able to give lots of input too. There are quite a few things I am not allowed to do in work now to keep me and the baby safe. Good luck!
