Hey, I’m 28 weeks and 3 days. I get a bit of a bunged up nose in the mornings, think this is pregnancy related. I just produced a bit of phlegm with a tinge of red in it, it wasn’t liquid at all just like snot. Sorry this is disgusting. Should I be concerned? Had a midwife appointment Thursday and everything was fine, I really don’t want to have to reign triage and I feel ok otherwise.

I've never had nose bleeds before but have had them quite a bit during my pregnancy (I'm 35 weeks). Tends to be just one nostril. I mentioned this to my midwife at one appointment and she said it was pretty normal. If it's constantly bleeding, I'll need to ring them though.

I get it more when I've had spicy food.

Sorry, I should have said, could you just ring your midwife?

I don’t really have a specific midwife or a number, I see a different one every time 🙁
Ok, that’s reassuring, I’ll just leave it. Thank you

From your nose?

It a pregnancy thing unfortunately - pregnancy rhinitis. I’ve had it since around Christmas Sad. I find sleeping with a damp towel hung up in the room to make it a little more humid helps.

I have terrible phlegm in the mornings. I had put it down to smoking in the past but I've not smoked in 6 months now and still hacking up strange and disgusting phlegm. Sorry for tmi!
