Help? Pregnancy tests are fainter & brown spotting!

Long story.
Got my first positive - very faint on 27th April.
On 28th April I started spotting brown, this turned into red spotting/light bleeding on 29th, 30th April & 1st May. Wore a pad but nothing ever went into the pad, was only there when wiping. Did a test on 1st May and it was darker than the one on 28th April. Red/brown spotting again on 2nd May. Then it turned brown for 3rd May and then stopped. 4th May I got a positive on a Clear Blue digital and a very good line (almost as dark as control) on a first response. Rang my doctor and he told me to see how I go over the next week and ring on Monday and can get me in for an early scan if still spotting.

Spotting started again on 7th May. Only brown and very very very light, hardly there but it's there, mostly in mornings.

Took a Clear Blue week indicator this morning and it only showed up with 1-2 weeks when judging by my last period I should be 5+3 weeks.
Also did another pregnancy test and it's lighter than they have been. Didn't have a first response to compare it against, but these were cheaper ones and I have used these before and got darker lines.

I just need some advice.
Stories of what other people have been through - good and bad.

I will be ringing my doctor on Monday so will be seeking medical advice but I just want to hear your stories and your opinions please.

Thank you!

Hi OP, sorry you're going through this. I think it's just a waiting game at the moment I'm afraid as it's impossible to know what's going on.

I don't bother with the whole line progression thing as I don't think it actually works and the digitals with the week estimates are notorious for being wrong.
Also, lots of women have spotting in early pregnancy and go on to have perfectly healthy babies.
I don't want to get your hopes up but I don't think you should give up just yet.

Only a scan will be able to tell you for sure. Good luck x

@sel2223 waiting game is horrific. I think that's why I like just reading other people's stories whether they are good or bad just to see what other people are going through.

I thought the 2WW was bad, that's nothing compared to this. It's like torture 💔💔

Sorry you're going through this. Just wanted to say that I'm sure the cb digital is weeks from conception so if you're 5 weeks from your period you would be 2/3 from conception of have a 28 day cycle and it's not exact and you could have been borderline when taking the test (everyone's levels rise at a different rate)

I had a positive last year before I had our baby but straight away the line got lighter then I started bleeding heavy (heavier than a normal period by far including clots) it was confirmed by the dr an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy.

Spotting and bleeding can be normal for some so try not to worry but you're definitely doing the right thing by being checked out. I hope everything works out for you 💕

@Nannon145 so sorry to hear that! I've had 2 early ones myself and I know how horrible that worried but still hoping phase is. I hope you're ok and that you have plenty of support.xx
